Why is our well-being under threat?

We live in a post-pandemic world and find ourselves transitioning to a ‘new normal’.

Our mental and physical health have been thrust to the very forefront of our consciousness.

Then there’s our lives. We’re racing around, never knowing if this is ‘the straw that breaks the camels back’. There’s too much to do, not enough time, and the shear grind of it all is overwhelming.

No wonder we are becoming ever more stressed, isolated, and exhausted.

That’s easy. I can summarise most of the literature out there and save you time so that you don’t need to do the hard research.

There are 3 Pillars. Eat well + Quality Sleep + Regular Training

Well, yes - and no.

You’ve heard people snoring, panting heavily as they fight for breath during a workout, and lose their breath before they do something big. Maybe that’s you. The point is, that our breathing is the bedrock upon which those 3 pillars are built. It’s the foundation of a quality night’s sleep, training hard and recovering well, and even digesting your food properly.

Your breath is the King of your Mind, and through the technology of Breathwork, you can influence your immune system, your mindset, and how you perform and relate to your life.

Breathwork can definitely help me, Thomas. But what exactly is a Breath Space?

Allow me to tell you what it’s not.

It’s not Meditation workshop

I enjoy meditation. I also find it frustrating, boring, and uncomfortable. But Thomas, that’s the point! True, but it takes a long time and a big commitment to reap the rewards. If I need something to shift my state quickly, meditation is not going to do it for me, or for many others.

It’s not a Yoga workshop

I love yoga. I also have a shoddy hip, bad back, and I’m not bendy. I practice yoga often. But, let’s be honest - downward-facing dog sucks, and some positions I can’t even picture, never mind do. Some of it just isn’t accessible to me, and no doubt many others too.

 

I create a space where you lay down, get comfy, and then we go to work. I use a number of physically engaging breathing techniques, that whilst simple in their appearance, are extremely potent and have a profound impact on your mind, body, and energy.

Most people I know can lie down and breathe. These techniques are accessible to almost anyone.

I create an energetic space of possibility. I guide you as we breathe together and you experience something powerful, deep, and meaningful.
